Mason Crosby’s wife, Molly, came forward to confirm that his over-a-decade stay with the Green Bay Packers is over. “Sad, we’ll miss you. We just ended a 16-year run with the team,” tweeted Molly on 13 May 2023.
The football player’s better half added, “A little city with a great heart and some AMAZING businesses and restaurants. We had a great time there, and you will too! Let’s talk coats, boots, and unique packer gear…”
Talking about if the footballer was fired or resigned, he was indeed not fired from the team. Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst’s comment at the NFL Combine suggested that Crosby would return for another season.
“We won’t ever shut the door; we will kind of see where that goes,” Gutekunst stated. “He had a successful year last year. Again, our financing options are somewhat constrained. However, we would never say never.”
The manager sounded promising. However, the placekicker reportedly had trouble with kickoffs, which gave opponents tremendous field position to begin drives, which impacted Green Bay’s defense.
