YouTube Money Earning With 500 Subscribers: Video-sharing platform YouTube has announced that it is lowering the eligibility requirements for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and has also introduced some methods of monetization, including paid chat, tipping, channel subscriptions, and shopping features for small creators.

According to a report published in The Verge, with the new policy, YPP will be available to creators after gaining 500 subscribers, which is half of YouTube’s previously set condition.

Change for short videos: Instead of 4,000 valid watch hours, creators will only need 3000 watch hours. Similarly, the condition of one crore short views has now been reduced to 30 lakh. These easier terms will initially apply in the US, UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea. Later, it will be extended to other countries.

Previously, creators had to meet a number of criteria to join the YouTube Partner Program and monetize their content. But now under the new rule, creators will only need 500 subscribers to be eligible, which is half of the previous requirement.
