Authorities said that a passing boat found a body in the seas of San Francisco Bay northeast of the Golden Gate Bridge on August 29. This was reported to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division by the passing boat. Then, the Station Golden Gate region of the United States Coast Guard was told, and they went to the area to find the bodies. The body was then taken to Station Golden Gate in Sausalito, where the victim was declared dead by paramedics.
