Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is an Indian Hindi-language TV show about a loving family. When Manish comes to talk to Akshara about something important, he sees her giving sweets to Abhinav. Akshara sends Abhir upstairs. Kairav tells him that it’s a business issue that only the elders can talk about, and everyone laughs.
Then, they tell Akshara and Abhinav about their plan to throw a surprise birthday party for Abhir. Since it will be his first birthday at Goenka’s house, they want to make it a big deal. Dadi says she will make it a big party. Abhir tells Ruhi that he is sad that no one remembers his birthday. Ruhi promises to make it a special day.
While Kairav and Muskaan talk, the family also gets ready for Akshara’s birthday. Muskaan says she doesn’t have a boyfriend because she likes to study, but Kairav tells her she should make time to find one, which upsets Surekha.
Swarna steps in and tells Surekha to go back to work. Ruhi calls Akshara to find out when Abhir was born.

Akshara asks Ruhi to come to a surprise birthday party for Abhir, and she says yes. Abhimanyu hears what they are saying and starts to feel sad. He chooses to celebrate and make a big deal out of his son’s birthday. Akshara and Abhinav see that it’s rainy outside and remember that it always storms on Abhir’s birthday.
Akshara worries that there will be another storm, but Abhimanyu tells her that he will go see Abhir and bring him gifts, just like his parents used to. Akshara says she wants to enjoy Abhir’s birthday at their house, and Abhinav tells her they’ll be home soon and gives her his support.
Abhimanyu writes an emotional note to his son, Abhir, while Manjiri is not happy to hear about Abhir’s birthday. Aarohi worries that Abhimanyu knows about it and won’t go out with Ruhi because of it.
The Birla family tries to find reasons not to go to Ruhi’s birthday party, but Ruhi won’t let them. When Abhir goes downstairs, he finds that his family is busy. He hopes that his birthday will be something special. The family plans to throw him a surprise party, and Abhir gets a gift from Abhimanyu that he didn’t expect.
Ruhi and Manjiri show up at the surprise party for the Goenka family and call Aarohi to ask her to spend some time at the party. But Surekha teases Manjiri about how much Abhimanyu values Akshara’s son, saying that Aarohi would feel bad about it. After the cake-cutting ceremony, Manjiri is upset and chooses to leave.
Akshara asks Surekha to let Ruhi hang out with Abhir while she is with Akshara.
