In 2008, Summit Entertainment released the first of five Twilight Saga adaptations, Twilight, which is based on the novel of the same name. This phenomenally successful series is an adaptation of four romance, fantasy, and drama novels written by Stephanie Meyer.
Fantastic cinematography, acting, and larger-than-life supernatural characters help Twilight depict the on-screen dynamics of a human teenager and a vampire.
Where Was Twilight Filmed?
There is no scarcity of moody Pacific Northwest locales on the list of Twilight’s filming locations; many of them are accessible to the public. Forks, Washington (Prongs, Minnesota?) is the best possible setting for a narrative about sharp teeth. Spikes, Oregon?).
Forks are such a perfectly prickly small-town name that you could be excused for assuming it came straight from the mind of author Stephenie Meyer. But (unlike our attempts), you may be surprised to discover that Forks is a real place and can be found on any map of Washington state, with a population of over 3,000 and a cloudy sky.
Filming Locations Inside
Edward’s Twilight superhuman truck scenario
The first time spectators saw Edward Cullen’s extraordinary power and speed was in this Twilight film sequence! Unlike other twilight locales, the school truck sequence was shot at two sites.
Forks High School combined Madison High School’s cafeteria in Portland, OR, and Kalama High School’s parking lots in Kalama, WA. Edward protects Bella from a runaway automobile in the parking lot. Bella is shocked by her savior’s supernatural abilities and intrigued by him.
Gus Van Sant’s 2007 independent film “Paranoid Park” was shot at Kalama High School. To reach the school, travel I-5 N to Elm St on China Garden Rd and drive to the parking lot. Visitors cannot enter the school. Find the iconic shoot site and take photos and selfies where Edward saves Bella.

Bella And Charlie’s Café Scenario In Twilight
Five miles northeast of Oregon City lies the famed café where Bella and her father, Police Chief Charlie Swan, meet the residents for dinner. The movie Carver Café is authentic and has existed since the late 1950s. The café is run by a local couple who live in the house behind it.
In the movie, folks frequent Carver Café for its delicious grilled cuisine. In this Twilight filming location, Stephanie Meyer appears in a cameo as a laptop user ordering the vegetarian special. When Charlie says, “Looks like the Newton boy’s got a big smile for ya,” you can see Stephanie with her laptop in the background.
Fans should travel out to Carver Café for great steak and chips, Bella’s Burger, fun cocktails, an all-day breakfast, and a Twilight-related laugh. Twilight tour souvenirs include “I got a bite at the Carver Café” t-shirts. Carver’s Café is at Exit 12A on Carter Rd. off I-205 S. Take a right at Alice’s Market and continue the road until you see your destination on the right.

Twilight’s “almost” vamp-vamp death trap
Phoenix’s Twilight Ballet Studio catastrophe nearly killed Bella. This Twilight action scenario was the most violent. In this scene, James pretends to kidnap Bella’s mother, Renee and takes her to Phoenix’s Ballet Studio, where she used to dance as a youngster. “Bella, where are you?” her mother calls from a closet in the ballet studio. Bella?!” She discovers James’s deception when she opens the closet door and finds an old videotape.
Edward (who rescues) fights James. James bites Bella to satisfy his bloodthirst and turn her vampire. Emmett, Alice, Jasper, and Carlisle arrive. Doctor Carlisle tells Edward to consume Bella’s venom to prevent vampirism.
Like many Twilight scenes, this one was filmed elsewhere. The Yale Building in Portland, Oregon, was Bella’s recuperation facility and filming location. The Yale building now displays many visitor exhibits as a modern art center. Line 15 buses or Lloyd Center trams will get you there.
Ballet studio disaster with Bella nearly dying in Phoenix
The most violent Twilight action scenes were on this site. In this scene, James brings Bella to the Ballet Studio in Phoenix, Arizona, where she used to perform and learn ballet, by claiming to have kidnapped her mother, Renee. She hears her mother screaming from a closet, “Bella, where are you?” as she arrives at the ballet studio. Bella?!” She discovers it’s a trick (an old videotape) as she unlocks the closet door.
Edward, who rescues James, fights him. James bites Bella to satisfy his bloodthirst. Emmett, Alice, Jasper, and Carlisle, the remainder of the Cullen family, arrive. To prevent Bella from becoming a vampire, Carlisle tells Edward to sip her venom.
This sequence was filmed at a different location than the movie. At Portland’s Yale Building, Bella’s hospital, it was filmed. The Yale building is currently a contemporary art center that organizes many tourist exhibits each year. Take a bus on line 15 or a tram from Lloyd Center to get there.
