1. Maruti Suzuki WagonR
The WagonR was and remains one of India’s favorite hatchbacks. It is a tall boy hatchback that has been on the market for more than two decades. With an impressive 18% year-over-year growth, WagonR proudly claimed the top position in April 2023 by selling 20,879 units.

4. Tata Nexon
The Tata Nexon was not only the fourth best-selling vehicle in April 2023 but also the best-selling SUV, dethroning the Maruti Brezza. Nexon was able to achieve a 14% increase in sales year-over-year by selling 15,002 SUVs, compared to the 13,471 SUVs sold in the same month last year.
The Nexon, which boasts a perfect 5-star safety rating, is one of the very few automobiles in India that is available with gasoline, diesel, and even electric powertrains.

5. Hyundai Creta

6. Maruti Suzuki Brezza

This month, Alto managed to sell 11,548 units, obtaining an 11% year-over-year increase that demonstrates the hatchback’s unstoppable popularity.
