This performance is incredibly entertaining. I watched it after the Super Bowl and found it quite impressive. The show has a ready-made audience and endless possibilities. However, Robyn’s family life and her entitled teenage daughter consistently disrupt the show’s flow.
The writers need to develop a plot twist, like sending the daughter to a prestigious boarding school or having her travel abroad with her biological father and stepmother to learn about other cultures. Anything to remove that character from the show, so we can return to the main story.
I appreciated how Robyn stood up for Jewel, a girl falsely accused of murder, against the villains out to get her. It was also entertaining to see Robyn use various disguises to foil the villain’s plans. You should definitely watch this show. Queen Latifah is an outstanding actress and the first Black female lead actress, which is fantastic.
