Since Philomela hasn’t come back yet, I think she may be connected to the monster attacks in the forest in some way.

Chise Hatori has been alive for 15 years. She can see people from other worlds and, for some reason, they are drawn to her like a magnet. Because of this, her whole life has been turned upside down, and the only people she can count on for support—her closest relatives—are slowly leaving her. Chise is completely alone, and she has even thought about ending her own life.

On the other hand, she meets a person who tells her that instead of killing herself, she should sell her life to someone who would take her in. She doesn’t kill herself in the end. And Elias does end up being the person Chise finds who wants to buy her. Teleportation takes the two people to Elias’ house after a short time. Chise’s perfect home would have to have all of these things: it would have to be warm, quiet, and very comfortable.
