RRB TTE Vacancy Details 2024
The Railway Recruitment Boards have not officially disclosed the number of vacancies for the post of Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) yet. However, there is a strong belief that it will be around 8,000 to 10,000. We will provide more information about the advertisement once it is officially released.
RRB TTE Eligibility Criteria 2024
The requirements to be eligible for the position of Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) in terms of education and age are as follows:
- Educational Qualification – It is necessary to have passed either the Matriculation or Intermediate exam, or to have completed a Diploma from a recognized board.
- Age Requirement – Applicants must be at least 18 years old and no older than 30 years old. However, there is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
RRB TTE Application Fee 2024
To apply online for the recruitment of Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) under Indian Railways, you will need to pay a fee of 500 rupees. You can use a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI to make the payment if you belong to the General or OBC category. People who are part of SC/ST or have disabilities (PWD) only need to pay ₹250.

RRB TTE Selection Process 2024
The selection process for the position of Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) has two stages: a Computer Based Test and a Physical Fitness and Documentation assessment. You can find more detailed information about these stages below.
Computer Based Test
- A total of 200 multiple-choice questions will be asked. The questions will cover topics such as General Awareness, Arithmetics, Technical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and General Intelligence.
- Each question is worth 1 mark. If you answer a question incorrectly, ⅓ mark will be deducted.
- Each person will have 2 hours to answer as many multiple-choice questions as possible in the Computer Based Test.

According to the trends in 2023, the salary of a TTE in Indian Railways during the training period after joining ranges from ₹ 5,200 to ₹ 20,200, with a grade pay of ₹ 1,900. Additionally, there are allowances of ₹ 36,000 per month. The TTE employee also receives benefits such as Dearness Allowance, Provident Fund, Medical Allowance, Travelling Allowance, etc.
