Career Journey of Rashid Khan
He played his first game for Afghanistan against Kenya in the Intercontinental Cup in 2013–14. He helped his team win by an innings and 172 runs by getting six wickets. He played his first List A game for Afghanistan against Hong Kong in the 2014 ACC Premier League. He got two outs and scored 12 runs, but his team lost.
He played his first game for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe in a T20I on October 26, 2015. He got one out and scored six runs to help his team win. He played his first ODI for Afghanistan on October 18, 2015, against Zimbabwe. He got two outs and scored seven runs, but his team lost.
He became well-known at the 2016 ICC World Twenty20, where he took 11 wickets in seven games and helped Afghanistan get to the Super 10 stage. - In September 2020, the former captain of Pakistan, Ramiz Raja, said that he intentionally threw a no-ball to stop MS Dhoni from getting a century in an IPL game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. Rashid said it was a mistake and that the claim was false.
- During a Test match in Abu Dhabi in March 2021, he got into a heated argument with Zimbabwe batsman Sean Williams when he asked for a catch that the umpire didn’t grant. Rashid later said he was sorry for how he treated Williams and that he valued her as a player.
