Owner of the Hilton Hotel Ramon Adedoyin is Sentenced to Death

On Monday, an Osun State High Court found Dr. Ramon Adedoyin guilty of killing Timothy Adegoke, a former master’s student at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Adegoke was found dead in November 2021. He had stayed at Adedoyin’s Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife. Shortly after Adegoke’s death, Roman was taken into custody.

Justice Adepele Ojo, the top court in Osun State, found Adedoyin and two hotel workers guilty on Tuesday, May 30. They were all linked to the death of 2021.

In a decision that took more than two hours, the judge said that there was proof that Adedoyin killed Adegoke while he was staying at the hotel.

The judge didn’t believe Adedoyin’s story. The businessman said he wasn’t at the hotel when Adegoke checked in.

Justice Ojo said that Adedoyin’s choice not to testify was the end of his case because it was now up to him to prove his innocence.

In the end, the judge decided that the prosecution proved that Adedoyin and two of the other six people charged with him were involved in a plot and killed people without permission.

The two hotel workers who have been found guilty are Adeniyi Aderogba and Oyetunde Kazeem. The judge gave them the same sentence as Ramon Adedoyin: they would all be hanged.
