Rajasthan Royals: Injured Players

Unfortunately for IPL fans, Prasidh Krishna’s season is over after he suffered a spinal injury. The Rajasthan Royals have brought in Sandeep Sharma as a substitute. Sharma has played in the IPL for a long time and has racked up over 100 wickets there.

Head Coach: Accomplished Kumar Sangakkara, the former Sri Lankan batsman with the Royals, will continue in his dual roles as head coach and Director of Cricket Operations. When Andrew McDonald left the team in 2021, Sangakkara stepped in as head coach. He had originally joined the team in 2021 as the Director of Cricket Operations.

Batting Coach: Similar to last season, the club will not have a hitting coach this year. In 2020, Amol Muzumdar, the current head coach of the Mumbai Indians, coached the batting for the Rajasthan Royals. They haven’t had a hitting coach since then.

Bowling Coach: Rajasthan Royals have hired Lasith Malinga, the great Sri Lankan bowler, as their bowling coach for the upcoming 2023 Indian Premier League season. Malinga has had a distinguished IPL career, first as a player for the Mumbai Indians and then as their head coach.

Fielding Coach: In the next IPL 2023 season, former Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik will serve as the team’s new fielding coach. Since 2018, he has continued to serve RR in this capacity.
