Overwatch 2 Season 4: Battle Pass Skins, Rewards, and Price
While we don’t have a ton of information on Season 4’s Battle Pass just yet, we do know that it has a spacey, galaxy-themed aesthetic to go along with the new season. The newest official blog article regarding Season 4 indicates that the Battle Pass has “out-of-this-world space opera cosmetics,” therefore it stands to reason that these cosmetics will be included.
In particular, it has been confirmed that several skins from the Starwatch: Galactic Rescue event will be available as Battle Pass prizes. The Premium Battle Pass will cost 1,000 Overwatch Coins, or $10. The regular Battle Pass will be free.
Overwatch Credits are expected to be a part of both of the Battle Pass’s cosmetic tiers for Season 4. In Season 3, 1,500 of these were accessible via the Free track, and 500 via the Premium track, and could be used to unlock heritage items from the original Overwatch. The Battle Pass for Season 4 is anticipated to function similarly.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Mythic skin: Galactic Emperor Sigma
Galactic Emperor Sigma, the new Mythic skin for Overwatch 2 Season 4, is an armored sci-fi clothing that makes the character appear like the mighty interstellar commander of an organization (probably the Infinite Empire from the Starwatch event, based on the name). The picture up top shows it.
You’ll have a lot of control over Galactic Emperor Sigma’s appearance, much like with previous Mythic skins. His Hypersphere weaponry, helmet, and armor may be customized in a number of ways, and he has access to three different color schemes: gray/gold/purple, white/light gray/turquoise, and tan/black/red.
Other Overwatch 2 Season 4 Skins
There will be a ton of new skins accessible to players in Season 4 between the Battle Pass, the Store, and the different bundles that can be purchased at any time. The accompanying image gallery features all of the ones we were able to identify in the Season 4 promo.
The trailer reveals that the new Widowmaker skin, the second new Lifeweaver skin, cardboard Reinhardt, Pinocchio-style Zenyatta, and robotic Junkrat and Roadhog will be available only from the Shop, while the new Hanzo skin and the Japanese-themed Lifeweaver skin will be available from the Battle Pass. Nevertheless, the Starwatch-themed skins will be included in the Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle, as seen on the official season roadmap, and their availability beyond that is unknown at this time. As Season 4 officially premieres early next year, we will update this post with more specific details.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 New Hero: Lifeweaver
As part of Blizzard’s continued emphasis on supports, the Overwatch 2 season 4 expansion Lifeweaver adds to the roster of existing support characters. As a long-range healer for Mercy who doesn’t need any special aim skills, he’s a great pick for newcomers to the first-person shooter genre. His toolkit has a wide range of applications, especially as its control effects may be used offensively or defensively. If you want to quickly go to Lifeweaver’s impressively high skill level in Overwatch 2, read our comprehensive guide on his skills. Like the other characters included in the sequel, Lifeweaver will be accessible through the forthcoming Overwatch 2 battle pass.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 Matchmaking
Previous entries on the developer blog indicate that matching will be a focus moving ahead. The present skill disparity impacting competitive rankings is mainly responsible for how bad Overwatch 2 matching is, as explained in a blog post by game director Aaron Keller, and this will be fixed in Overwatch 2 season 4. In the near future, rank decay will no longer exist in any form, leaving players in the division and skill level that most closely reflects their actual performance.
Until the Overwatch 2 season 4 release date, that is all the information we have. Despite being a consistent fixture in Blizzard’s 2023 roadmap, there has been no new information on the Overwatch 2 PvE feature. If you’re anxious for a fresh look for your favorite Overwatch 2 characters, start collecting those credits and coins now, because there’s a lot we can anticipate to find closer to the time, including mythic skins and events.
