Mahindra Thar Vs Maruti Jimny Comparison: Breaking Down the Tough Terrain!

At the Auto Expo 2023, Maruti Suzuki finally presented the eagerly anticipated Jimny 5-door, with a launch planned for the near future. We already know that the Mahindra Thar, the best-selling off-road SUV in India, would face stiff competition from the Jimny. Here’s a quick view of the Mahindra Thar Vs Maruti Jimny Comparison:

Comparison of the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny

Has the Mahindra Thar been defeated by the Maruti Suzuki Jimny? Here is a comparison of the two SUVs’ specifications in great detail.

Dimensions

The Mahindra Thar 3-door is 175 mm wider and nearly 124 mm taller than the Maruti Suzuki off-roader, although having the same length as the Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door. The Jimny, however, has a 140 mm longer wheelbase than the Thar.

The Jimny has more room for the rear passengers than the Thar because it comes standard with a 5-door layout, and it has a bigger boot when all the seats are in position. Be aware that Mahindra is preparing to release the Thar 5-door in the Indian market shortly as well.
