Lucknow Super Giants IPL Schedule 2023: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have set the bar high for themselves after a promising maiden season in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The BCCI has released the schedule for the 16th season of the premier league, with Lucknow opening the season on April 1 against the Delhi Capitals.
When it came to the league portion of the 2022 season, LSG did pretty well, finishing third with nine victories and 18 points. They breezed into the playoffs, but a lightning performance by Royal Challengers Bangalore knocked them out of the running for the championship.
One of the most problematic aspects of the first season was the team’s over-reliance on its top-order players. However, in order to find a middle ground before the league begins, the Lucknow-based franchise has added a few new faces from the mini-auction.
Lucknow Super Giants Team
They play franchise cricket as the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. They have signed up for the Indian Premier League. The franchise will launch in 2021 and call Lucknow’s BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium home for its games. RPSG Group owns the team now, same as they did the Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016 and 2017. KL Rahul will lead the squad as captain, and Andy Flower will serve as coach.

Lucknow Super Giants Coaching Staff 2023
- Head Coach: Andy Flower, a former captain for the Zimbabwean national team, now leads the Lucknow Super Giants as their coach. Flower was previously an assistant coach with the Punjab Kings of the Indian Premier League. From 2009 to 2014, Flowers captained the English national cricket team, during which time the side won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2010, as well as the Ashes series against Australia in 2009 and 2010.
- Assistant Coach: Vijay Dahiya will be joining the Lucknow Super Giants as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2023 Indian Premier League season. He played wicketkeeper and batted right-handedly for India.
- Mentor: The LSG team is mentored by former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir.
- Bowling Coach: South African fast bowler Morne Morkel will be LSG’s bowling coach in IPL 2023.
- Fielding Coach: South African legend Jonty Rhodes will serve as LSG’s fielding coach this year.
