Eligibility Criteria for LIC Recruitment 2023

General Qualifications

A candidate must be a citizen of India in order to be eligible.

Educational Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university.

Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old.

Age Relaxation

For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Communities (OBC), Ex-Servicemen, People with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and confirmed LIC workers, the upper age limit will be lowered as follows:

Selection Process

There will be two parts to the LIC Assistant exam: Prelims and Mains, for which the full exam pattern is given below:

Prelims Exam

There will be three sections in the Prelims Exam: Reasoning, English/Hindi Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test will take a total of 1 hour, or 60 minutes. If a candidate gets a question wrong,  there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. There will be objective questions for the Preliminary Examination. There will be three parts to the test, and each will have its own time limit.

Salary for LIC Recruitment 2023

According to the previous year’s notification, a LIC Assistant’s basic salary is 27840 rupees per month on a scale of 27840-840(1).-28,680-915(2)-30,510-1030(5)-35,760-1195(2)-38150-1455(3)-42,515-1510(2)-45,535-1610(5)-53,585 and any permissible benefits in accordance with the rules. The Assistant receives additional benefits and pays on top of the Basic Pay, including House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and Dearness Allowance. Thus, the monthly gross pay for a LIC Assistant ranges from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 40,000.-
