General Qualifications
A candidate must be a citizen of India in order to be eligible.

Selection Process
LIC Assistants will be chosen through a two-step exam process: a preliminary exam (Phase I) and a main exam (Phase II). This will be followed by a pre-employment medical test. Only the marks from the Main Examination will be used to make the final list of candidates’ merits (Final Selection).

Prelims Exam
There will be three sections in the Prelims Exam: Reasoning, English/Hindi Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test will take a total of 1 hour, or 60 minutes. If a candidate gets a question wrong, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks. There will be objective questions for the Preliminary Examination. There will be three parts to the test, and each will have its own time limit.

Salary for LIC Recruitment 2023
According to the previous year’s notification, a LIC Assistant’s basic salary is 27840 rupees per month on a scale of 27840-840(1).-28,680-915(2)-30,510-1030(5)-35,760-1195(2)-38150-1455(3)-42,515-1510(2)-45,535-1610(5)-53,585 and any permissible benefits in accordance with the rules. The Assistant receives additional benefits and pays on top of the Basic Pay, including House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, and Dearness Allowance. Thus, the monthly gross pay for a LIC Assistant ranges from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 40,000.-
