John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s Love Story
John Travolta and Kelly Preston were in love at first sight! They met for the first time during a screen test for their 1989 comedy The Experts. Kelly was still married to actor Kevin Gage at the time.
Travolta has frequently maintained that it was love at first sight, but when Andy Cohen asked Kelly on Watch What Happens Live, she responded, “Kinda.” “Well, let’s just say I wasn’t that happily married,” she continued. “I was with the wrong person.”
The co-stars of The Experts were married in 1991. On September 5, 1991, the couple exchanged vows at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris. Kelly was two months pregnant with the couple’s son Jett at the time.
In April 1992, John and Kelly welcomed their first child, Jett. Travolta discussed his son Jett with People magazine, saying, “After he was born and cleaned up, I held him for hours while Kelly slept.”

Preston gave birth to Ella Bleu, her and John’s second child, in April 2000. Unfortunately, the couple lost their eldest child, Jett, in January 2009. He was on vacation with his family when he died. He died at the age of sixteen.
