How to Apply for PM Awas Yojana Online? Eligibility, Required Documents, and all Guidance

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a program started by the government in 2015. Its goal is to offer affordable housing options for people who are buying a home for the first time. One of the things it does is provide a subsidy on the interest of a housing loan for people who are eligible and belong to the economically weaker, low-income, and mid-income groups. You have two options to apply or register for this scheme. The first option is to do it online through the website. The second option is to do it offline by visiting a Common Service Centre.

The PMAY program aims to construct more than 2 million permanent homes with essential facilities like gas, electricity, and water by 2022. The program is split into two parts, PMAY Urban (PMAY – U) and PMAY Gramin (PMAY – G), which help the people living in cities and those living in rural areas, respectively.
