Release Date of the Blue Beetle Film
Warner Bros. has set the release date of Blue Beetle for Friday, August 18.
The film was supposed to premiere on HBO Max’s streaming service, but the distribution strategy was changed in December 2021, and it will now be released in theaters.
Filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia, El Paso, Texas, and Puerto Rico. Susan Sarandon confirmed the completion of production on her role as the film’s antagonist with an Instagram post from the set in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in late June.

Xolo Mariduea, star of Cobra Kai, was cast as Jaime Reyes, aka the Blue Beetle, in August 2021, and a photo of him in costume was released the year before.
