The Indian Government launched the e-Shram yojana to offer social security to workers in unorganized sectors. The government has also introduced the e-Shram portal for workers in unorganized sectors. The e-Shram portal aims to gather information about unorganised workers so that they can access the benefits of different government schemes.
If you work in an unorganized sector, you should apply for a Shramik card or e-Shram card. The e-Shram card provides various benefits to laborers and workers in the unorganized sectors. These benefits include a pension after reaching 60 years of age, death insurance, and financial aid in case of incapacity. The purpose of the e-Shram card is to give unorganized workers access to various government schemes and facilities through the e-Shram portal.
