Bhagya Lakshmi, a Hindi Indian television drama series, debuted on Zee TV on August 3, 2021. Anjana reveals during wedding preparations that she has invited her eldest son to participate in the festivities. The families form strong bonds and discuss the planning of pre-marriage events, including the engagement.
There is less time remaining, and Rano urges everyone to begin working. Shalu and Bani are uncertain whether Lakshmi is genuinely content. Saloni compliments Malishka as well as Lakshmi and Rishi, enquiring as to why their union failed. Malishka avoids the truth, and Saloni enquires whether either of them has a problem.
When Saloni reveals that Malishka will marry Rishi, Malishka becomes defensive. Ayush brings Rishi back to the event after it has concluded, however. As Rishi and Lakshmi are not listening to anyone, Ayush advises Shalu to embrace the situation as fate.
Neha invites Ayush to go shopping with her, and Dadi offers her sage counsel.

Vikrant tells Lakshmi that he will take care of her well. Rishi and Lakshmi see each other for a moment. Malishka asks Rishi what’s wrong because he seems upset. He says that everything is fine. She tells him that Saloni was interested in why they got a divorce, but she doesn’t know. When Lakshmi leaves the temple, her dupatta starts to burn.
Rishi sees it and screams to let her know. He tries to get to Lakshmi quickly to save her from the fire, but Vikrant gets there first and puts out the fire. Rishi rips the part of the scarf that is on fire and throws it away. They ask Lakshmi if she is okay, and she says that she is. Vikrant thanks Rishi for letting them know, but Rishi tells him he wasn’t paying enough attention.
He cares about Lakshmi and tells Vikrant that he doesn’t deserve her. Ayush, Shalu, and Bani are overjoyed to hear Rishi tell Lakshmi how he feels about her. Neelam and Karishma start to worry about what Rishi will do.
Malishka thinks Rishi is crazy for yelling at Vikrant, and she doesn’t want him to say no to the marriage proposal.
