Bhagya Lakshmi is a television drama series in Hindi language from India. In one episode, a Pandit tells Vikrant and Lakshmi that once their Roka ceremony is over, nothing should come between them and their marriage, and their bond should stay strong. After the Roka traditions are done, everyone in the family is happy, and Saloni feeds them, sweets, while congratulating them.
But Rishi, Ayush, Shalu, and Bani are sad, and Rishi feels like his life is over. Malishka and Sonia privately hope that Lakshmi will never come back. Ayush wants Shalu to be happy and tries to make her feel better. Dadi, Virender, and Neelam pray for Vikrant and Lakshmi, and Saloni takes pictures of them and says nice things about them.
Rishi feels jealous when he sees Vikrant holding Lakshmi, so he turns away and starts to cry. Karishma finds out that he wants to go to his room. Malishka asks how he can leave the Roka event, but he says that he needs to wash his face because something got in his eyes.
Ayush understands Rishi’s sadness, and later Rishi admits that he loves Lakshmi, but he also sees that he must keep his promise to Malishka and marry her for the sake of his family. Even so, he feels empty inside and doesn’t know what to do about it.

Rishi says that he is afraid that Lakshmi will soon get engaged to Vikrant and marry him. After that, he thinks she will leave him. He cries because he misses her and says he can’t picture life without her. Rishi looks upset, so Lakshmi asks him what’s wrong. Rishi hugs her and tells her that he loves her.
Lakshmi tries to make him feel better and tells him not to make things harder for her. She tells him that he needs to follow through on his promise to marry Malishka. Rishi says he can’t live without Lakshmi and begs her to stay in his life. He asks her if she feels the same way, but Lakshmi tells him that time decides everything in their lives, and she just follows the path that fate has set for her.
Rishi says he can’t follow this road if it goes against what he feels in his heart. Lakshmi tells him that he is already engaged to Malishka and that it is too late for them to get together or fight fate. Lakshmi tells Rishi that they have to accept that they can’t stay together. Even though she hurts too, she can’t show him.
Both of them cry. Rishi wakes up from his daydream and sees that Lakshmi isn’t with him. Ayush goes up to Rishi and wants to talk to him. The Roka event is over, and Pandit tells Vikrant and Lakshmi. Dadi suggests that they go to the temple to pray. Rishi is asked if he is okay by Ayush. Rishi says he is all right.
Ayush tells Rishi that Lakshmi is getting a great guy, so he shouldn’t be sad. He tells Rishi that they should all be happy because Lakshmi is happy. He then asks Rishi to celebrate with him. Dadi tells Vikrant and Lakshmi that their relationship will never end if it is real and meant to be.
She tells them that to keep their relationship strong, they need to understand each other’s happiness and sadness. Lakshmi starts to cry when she hears Dadi talk about how important marriage is and thinks about how Rishi’s betrayal broke up their beautiful relationship.
