The Government of Maharashtra also appointed Siddique to serve as Chairman of the MHADA Mumbai Board from 2000 to 2004. In addition to his role as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, from 2004 to 2008 he also served as the state’s Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies, Labor, the Food and Drug Administration, and Consumer Protection. He underwrote the development of an ecological garden at Bandra-Khar in 2011.
