On Thursday afternoon, actress Alia Bhatt took to social media to tell fans that her grandpa Narendranath Razdan had died. He was recently taken to a hospital in Mumbai, where his condition was said to be very bad. Alia had to cancel her trip to Abu Dhabi because of this. The father of Soni Razdan died today. Alia shared a touching video from his 92nd birthday party, in which Ranbir Kapoor also appeared.
Alia Bhatt’s Grandfather Passes Away
In the video, Alia’s grandpa is seen with his family as he celebrates his 92nd birthday. Alia can be heard asking him to make a wish before they cut into his birthday cake. Ranbir, on the other hand, is seen standing next to him and helping him blow out the candles. Her grandfather gave her advice when he told her, “Smile all the time.”
Along with the film, Alia wrote a letter about how much she missed him. She told me how he had an interesting life. She also said that he played with Raha, who was one of his great-granddaughters. Her message said, “My grandfather. My idol Played golf until he was 93, worked until he was 93, made the best eggs, told the best stories, played the violin, played with his great-granddaughter, loved cricket, loved drawing, loved his family, and loved his life until the end. My heart is sad, but it’s also full of joy because all my grandpa ever did was bring us joy. I feel blessed and thankful to have been raised by all the light he had to give. Until we meet again.”

Soon after she shared the post, Karan Johar and other friends in the industry were seen responding to it. “Sending you a huge hug,” KJo said. Masaba Gupta wrote, “The best love you’ll get from @aliaabhatt.” Zoya Akhtar accidentally sent a red heart emoji. Soni Razdan also wrote a long note in which she talked about her father.
She posted a picture of him happy and wrote, “Daddy. Daddy, Grandpa, Nindi – our Angel here on earth. We’re so glad that we can call you ours. So happy to have spent my life soaking in your bright light. So lucky to have been touched by your soul, which is so kind, caring, gentle, and always full of life.
