Krafton's Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is a free-to-play battle royale game. It is the Indian version of the popular mobile game PUBG, which was banned in India in 2020.
On July 2, 2021, BGMI was made available for download, and since then, it has been downloaded more than 100 million times.
The prohibition was lifted 10 months after the government ordered it in July 2022, with some obligatory modifications. Government officials will oversee the game for three months.
People have attempted to download the game since the announcement, but it is not yet available to the public because it has not been released.
As of May 27, 2023, BGMI servers are down. Krafton announced BGMI 2.5 Update server restoration date. Google Play Store preloads the game. Game servers launch on May 29.
PUBG has a global player base and is available in many countries, including India. BGMI is the Indian equivalent of PUBG. It was created exclusively for the Indian gaming community.
BGMI 2.3 adds map locations, game modes, weapon and vehicle balance modifications, visual improvements, and bug fixes. To keep players engaged, PUBG updates may add maps, features, gameplay improvements, and more.
