Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers was called for goaltending on a Nikola Jokic tip. The Nuggets lead the series 2-0 after defeating LeBron and co.

In Thursday's Conference Finals Game 2, the Denver Nuggets called Anthony Davis for goaltending on a Nikola Jokic tip. At the Ball Arena, they fought.

Davis got called for goaltending in the first quarter for blocking Jokic's shot. The Lakers and Nuggets were knotted at 27-27 after 15 minutes with the 30-year-old scoreless.

“Refs called offensive goaltending on AD, bullshit flagrant on DLo, No foul call over and over again on Bron, call defensive goal tending on AD, Jokic apparently can play D without ever fouling.

"Lakers could've played better, but can't do anything when the refs selling," a Twitter user said.

Another said, "I feel like goaltending should be reviewable at a dead ball like checking if something was a three or not."

"Good goaltending" meaning it happened before the quarter ended. A third wrote, "Jeff Van Gundy was right that the goaltend itself is not reviewable when the referees go to the monitor for a timing issue."

Denver Nuggets defeated LeBron and co. 108-103 in the fourth quarter. With a 2-0 advantage, they head to LA for Game 3.
